Richard O’Gara is a professional investigator with more than thirty years of experience that includes managing and investigating complex investigations with the NYPD as well as the private sector. He specializes in recruiting and handling confidential sources as well as conducting surveillance/counter surveillance.  His experience ranges from Major narcotics and firearms investigations to counter-terrorism investigations, to critical and cold child abduction investigations.  He has worked with numerous law enforcement and Intelligence agencies including, the FBI, CIA, Secret Service, and the State Department.  Richard is also certified by the US Secret Service in Dignitary Protection duties.  He spent seven years instructing and then managing a “best investigative practices” course in the United Arab Emirates.  He retired from the NYPD with the elite Rank of First Grade Detective and has been declared an expert witness in Counter Terrorism investigations by the NY Supreme Court.
